A Marian Year dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe began on October 12, 1961. At its conclusion, Pope John XXIII named Our Lady of Guadalupe “Mother of the Americas”. In this present age of darkness, in which we find so much discouragement, we must often remember the words Our Lady spoke to Saint Juan Diego in 1531:
“Hear and let it penetrate into your heart, my dear little son; Let nothing discourage you, nothing depress you. Let nothing alter your heart, or your countenance. Am I not here who am your Mother? Are you not under my shadow and protection?”

Because this miraculous visitation took place in Mexico City, the Mexican culture is deeply devoted to her. This decal is in Spanish to honor this devotion, but we offer an English version as well.
