Saint Camillus of Lellis, Italian San Camillo De Lellis, was born May 25, 1550, in Bucchianico, Kingdom of Naples (now in Italy) and died July 14, 1614, in Rome.
St. Camillus was canonized in 1746. His Feast Day is July 14. St. Camillus is the founder of the Ministers of the Sick. Along with St. John of God, Camillus became Patron Saint of the sick.
St. Camillus is the Patron Saint of Nurses, Physicians, the Sick, and Hospitals.
