Mark Lowry is a Christian songwriter and a comedian, who has been performing for over 20 years.
In 1984, when Mark’s church asked him to write a Christmas play, he wrote the lyrics to a song that people will remember forever, “Mary Did You Know?” He got the idea from simply thinking of questions he would like to ask Mary. But it wasn’t until six years later that Buddy Greene wrote a melody for these lyrics.
Since then, thirty different artists have recorded “Mary Did You Know?” by Mark Lowry.
