St. Kevin was born in Leinster, Ireland and was baptized by St. Cronin. He became a hermit in the Valley of the Two Lanes in Glendalough, Ireland. He trained the son of King Colman and was a friend of St. Kieran of Clonmacnois. St. Kevin supposedly lived to the age of 120.
The St. Kevin Sterling Silver Medal honors him as one of the Patron Saints of Ireland. His Feast Day is June 3.
