St. Patricia is known mainly through legend. She came from a noble family of Constantinople, but when a marriage was arranged for her, she fled to Jerusalem and then to Rome where she consecrated herself to God as a virgin. St. Patricia died at Naples after giving away all her possessions in Constantinople. It has been reported that a vial containing her blood liquefies on her Feast Day, August 25.
The St. Patricia Sterling Silver Medal honors her as the Patron Saint of Naples.
