St. Sophia, also called Sapientia, is known only through legend. According to this legend, St. Sophia’s daughters were named Faith, Hope, and Charity. When all three of them were martyred, Sophia suffered such deep sadness that when she went to their tomb, she knelt in prayer and quietly died.
The St. Sophia Pewter Patron Saint Medal honors her Feast Day on September 30.
