St. Thomas Apostle is listed among the Twelve Apostles in all four Gospels, but the Gospel of John has 3 more references. In John 11:16, he proclaims his loyalty to Christ by saying, “Let us also go to die with him.” Thomas asks in John 14: 5-6, “Master, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?” Jesus replied, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” And finally, Thomas doubts the other disciples when they report seeing the Risen Christ, but cries out in John 20: 28, “My Lord and my God!” when he actually sees the Lord.
Little is known of St. Thomas after this except through legends.
