St. Veronica, of the first century, was the woman of Jerusalem who wiped the face of Jesus with a veil while He was on His way to Calvary. The cloth was imprinted with the image of His face. Even though there is no scriptural reference of this event, the veil, Veronica's Veil, has become a beloved relic of the Church.
The St. Veronica Pewter Patron Saint Medal honors her as the Patron Saint of photographers. St. Veronica's Feast Day is July 12.
